By car: The expressway between Beijing and Yi Xian is among the newest and easiest road in China. It is a 522km ride, passing by the ocean, and under the Great Wall. First, take the Jinsheng Expressway(Beijing-Shenyang Highway), then after km 470 take a right onto Jinfu Expressway.

By plane: Shenyang International Airport, then by taxi, a 2 and half hours trip to Yi Xian. There also is a National Airport in Jinzhou with direct flights to/from Beijing and Shenyang.

By bus: from Beijing, a very easy, cheap and smooth way to reach our location is by bus. 4 and half hours from the eastern bus station near the SOHO area by the external part of the Eastern 3rd ring road. All the way the brand new expressway will take you to Jinzhou. Once there a 45mn taxi ride (¥80) will take you to Yixian and our museum, via another expressway. From Shenyang, the direct bus to Jinzhou will take 2 hours. It is also possible to take another bus from Jinzhou to Yi Xian, but it adds another hour to the journey (¥12).

By train: there are 2 different type of trains from Beijing to Liaoning: the fast train on the Beijing-Shenyang railway, which stops in Jinzhou after a 3 hours trip. And the overnight slow train that usually leaves Beijing at night and arrives early morning in Yi Xian. Same for the way back; it leaves Yi Xian around 8pm and arrives in Beijing very early the next morning (hard and soft sleepers available
